The activities of the FAO Regional Vegetable IPM Programme are focused in four countries in the Greater Mekong Sub Region. There are national and local IPM programmes in each of these countries. Over the years, funding for activities has shifted from FAO being the major source of funds to local governments and nongovernmental organizations taking over.

The Regional Vegetable IPM Programme also supports work in five observer countries. Some of these countries have technical expertise that can be tapped to strengthen programmes in the GMS region. The others have ongoing national programmes and require technical assistance from FAO.
